Take a friend Fishing at Donamon - April 25th, 2009

Donamon 'access for all' fishery looked splendid for the ShRFB Open Day - 'take a friend fishing' on April 25th, 2009. 40 junior anglers ranging in age from 6 to 15 fished the 2.5 hour competition. 60 fish were caught. This was a wonderful experience for all competitors, particularly as many had their first ever fish. Leading match angler and fishing guide Bill Cassidy gave short tuition sessions on setting up fishing gear and demonstrated on how to handle and release fish. All concerned expressed delight with the enjoyment of the occasion and enquired about the next years event.
